Description: This jewellery box is only the second I've made from HMS Victory oak. The large plugged holes are the remains of the wooden pegs which held the timbers together, and some evidence of the copper nail holes are also clear. The trays are from ripple sycamore and the pegs which strenghten the housing joints are from bog oak which is oak that has been preserved for around 4000 years in the Norfolk Fens.
