A lot of boxes I make come from my saying to myself "what if...". For this one I wondered what would happen if the lid were squeezed.
The box is made from scorched ash and the lid is carved from one piece of solid ash. Inside it is set out a jewellery box with two lift out trays of ash lined with velvet.
